FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General FAQs

  • Please book a complimentary discovery call so we can better understand your main frustrations and how I can support you! From there, we’ll mutually decide if a Reoutfit is the right fit.

We work with women of all sizes and walks of life — the common thread is a readiness to invest in and elevate their wardrobe to its full potential.

  • No. My reasoning is simple: I don't believe in restricting your choices based on your skin tone or certain colors. Your preferences should be the main focus. If you love a color, wear it. If you don't, then don't.

As an ex-merchandiser, my 15 years of retail experience as taught me that colors available in stores at any given time never include everyone’s color palates. They are driven by trend. Therefore you may be waiting seasons or years to get that exact swatch match. It's more crucial to find garments with the appropriate fit, fabrics, and cuts that align with your lifestyle and personality than to be concerned with a limited spectrum of colors. If color analysis is something you're specifically seeking, I recommend seeking out a more traditional image consultant who offers that service.

  • I believe every body can look beautiful in the right clothes. The key is being willing to invest in and dress the body you have today. If you’re actively working toward a different size or managing health considerations, we can discuss the right timing.

That said, in my experience, most frustrations aren’t about the body: they’re about the shopping, and that’s where I come in to help.

  • For a Signature Reoutfit, a budget starting at $6K+ SGD or more allows for the most flexibility and the best results. Budgets aren’t necessarily an indicator of number of pieces: some clients are very minimal in what they own, others are maximalist depending on their lifestyle and part of my role as your stylist is to help guide you and recommend the best quality wardrobe for your life stage. I have seen it all! Every recommendation we curate for you is intended as an investment into a long-term wardrobe you can be proud of.

Quality pieces generally range from $300 to $800 each in the premier or contemporary market, while luxury items typically start around $1,000 and up. For clients who lean toward luxury pieces or fine jewelry, a higher budget may be necessary to achieve the desired look. I carefully curate a blend of contemporary, premier, luxury, and budget-friendly pieces tailored to each client’s budget, with a focus on delivering the most elevated options for your investment.

My approach prioritizes purchasing items that are high-quality and versatile, rather than focusing on quantity. This shift encourages moving away from “how many pieces” to a more curated, thoughtful approach rooted in quality and price-per-wear value. When you invest in better-quality clothes, they become pieces you’ll want to reach for time and again.

If your primary focus is to procure a “as many outfits as possible” approach, leaning toward fast fashion brands like Zara, H&M, Mango, M&S or Sezane, I may not be the best fit. While exceptions can be made for purposeful items that complement your wardrobe, I specifically do not source from brands SHEIN, Temu, Fashion Nova, ASOS, “Dupes” or direct copies of independent or luxury designs of any kind. This is to preserve the integrity of what we believe clothes should cost. My brand curation is highly considered — clients work with us because I have a strong point of view on what is worth investing in, whether locally available or sourced internationally.

Additionally, I’m a big believer in preloved pieces at any budget level, even luxury, and I’m happy to incorporate them into our work together if you’re open to adding this sustainable option to your wardrobe.

We have experience accommodating budgets ranging from a total spend of $5K-$80K+ SGD, and everything in-between.

We begin each Reoutfit with a clear budget range to ensure our team can curate thoughtfully and make the best use of our time together.

Reoutfits are a highly collaborative experience, please do not feel embarrassed or guilty for spending on yourself. Rest assured we will do our best to craft you a wardrobe that feels elevated but not excessive.

  • Yes, almost every one of our clients is a time-poor professional often juggling work and home life, so let us handle this for you!

For our Signature Reoutfits, we’ll work with you to shop your exact pieces and assist with ordering and returns.

For Premier Reoutfits, not only will you get ordering and return assistance, you’ll get the luxury experience of our dedicated showroom space. No boxes or packages to your home, no fuss. Just an elevated wardrobe procured in one place.

  • The Reoutfitter Ptd Ltd accepts all credit cards, PayPal or PayNow for service invoices.

Signature Reoutfit clients may chose to order on their own, or we can assist using a credit card authorization form, enabling The Reoutfitter to make purchases on their behalf.

For Premier Reoutfits, we will order using a credit card authorization form, and we will assist along with a full tracking of your budget, returns and orders.

While we will assist with returns to meet required deadlines, clients are responsible for any associated return fees, import fees, or misc courier handling charges.

This minimal try-on fee is designed to ensure optimal results with convenience and ease. More details will be specified in our service agreement.

  • Tailoring and alterations are key to changing your relationship with clothes and fit. We ask our clients to build in a budget for alterations. Clients are responsible for covering tailoring fees, which range from $10 to $150 SGD per garment, depending on the scope of work. These fees are to be paid directly to the tailor, with all responsibilities and agreements remaining between the client and the tailor.

Shipping, returns, GST, and import fees should be factored into overall budgets. As much of our sourcing is done online to access a wider, more exclusive and unique selection, we encourage clients to view these as part of the try-on process to ensure the best fit and results. If this approach feels unfamiliar, we’re happy to guide you through it. Our clients find these minimal fees outweigh the value in time lost during in-store shopping, with the added benefit of access to a far more curated and elevated selection.

  • Every client is unique, with needs shaped by their lifestyle, shopping habits, and sustainability goals. Our item suggestions are intentionally capped to encourage thoughtful purchases that genuinely enhance your wardrobe. Each lookbook blends your existing pieces with carefully selected additions, focusing on versatility and rewear. Final purchases will vary based on your needs, budget, and preferences. If you’re looking for a fixed number of items or outfits, a Reoutfit may not be the right fit, as we prioritize a more mindful approach to shopping.

If your goal is to build a curated wardrobe you'll love and reach for time and time again that will incorporate what you own, we might be a perfect fit. However, if you're seeking the maximum number of looks without focusing on long-term wearability, my approach may not align with what you’re looking for. I’d love to help if my style philosophy resonates with you!

  • Yes, absolutely! Any part of your Reoutfit journey can include working virtually or having me there with you for fittings. Please contact me to discuss details and adjusted rates.

  • I’m personally involved in every step of your Reoutfit journey, but as a small (and very hands-on) business, but I may be working across multiple clients or projects. We only take a select amount of clients at a time to ensure everyone gets the full experience. You may meet and interact with members of my team, whether it’s supporting us behind the scenes with Closet Audits, logistics or admin, but rest assured — every touch point we have will be lead by me.

  • Our packages are designed to support every part of your lifestyle: work, travel, mom-life, and events. Through the Reoutfit process, your Remix lookbooks, coupled with our exclusive shopping Remix catalogs we send, most clients feel confident getting dressed on their own long after their Reoutfit has been completed. For some, that lasts years; for others with higher visibility, support may be more regular.

Once you’ve completed a Reoutfit, you’ll have access to exclusive retainer rates for ongoing support, whether that’s wardrobe edits, shopping, packing, or event styling —without needing to repeat the entire process. We have many clients who employ us regularly for ongoing assistance, and rates are intentionally more efficient as your wardrobe, preferences, and fit profile are already established with us.

  • The Reoutfit approach is centred on building a holistic, luxury wardrobe that supports your full lifestyle — not just small, one-off curations. As such, we don’t offer styling for single events or occasions.

While many clients naturally achieve a more streamlined, versatile wardrobe, I don’t typically use the term “capsule wardrobe,” as it understates the depth of work involved in thoughtfully curating something that truly works for you.

However, we have lots of other ways to engage!

Please explore our resources, or you can sign up for our email to be the first to know about events or collaborations, or you can read our Substack, RE:DEFINED. Our subscribers receive curated trend lists and shopping ideas throughout the year that might be just what you're looking for. I try my best to create helpful tips and content on social media!

Finally, you can also join our preloved fashion buying and selling group, Reloved if that’s something you’re interested in. I hope to connect with you at these channels.

*Facets of our Signature Reoutfit can be customized, subject to your needs and our availability. Pricing starts at $5,500 SGD

Scheduling FAQs

  • Because of the highly personalized nature of our work, we can only take on a certain number of clients at a time while also reserving time for our existing retainer clients. Therefore, dates may fill up weeks or even months in advance, so we recommend booking early! Reoutfits are secured with a 50% deposit. Once the deposit is received, a scheduling calendar will be sent to book your individual sessions.

Appointments for sessions are available on weekdays, with options for sessions from morning blocks or afternoon blocks in-between our working hours of 9am-6pm.

  • Rescheduling/Postponement: We understand life happens and can accommodate up to 3 rescheduling of sessions in the occurrence of life or work events. Any meetings rescheduled after 3 times will be subject to a $300 fee. Any change in service fees from an extended postponement period may be subject to apply.

Premier Reoutfit fitting dates that need to be rescheduled may result in all orders being returned to make return windows and forfeiting a fitting: please ensure you notify me as soon as possible for any changes and communicate your availability with us especially during the “ordering” period.

Cancellations: Client must immediately notify Stylist if Client wishes to cancel Stylist’s Services, via email only to sera@thereoutfitter.com.

    Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Due to high demand, we are currently unable to maintain waitlists. Clients who have secured their booking with a deposit may have the opportunity to move their dates sooner if other clients' schedules shift, though this is not guaranteed. We encourage you to reach out as early as possible to ensure the best availability.

In general, we prioritize a thoughtful and intentional shopping experience, sourcing you clothes to last for years, so our process may not be the ideal fit for those seeking quick, last-minute solutions.

Generally speaking, it is normal to book 3-4 months out for a Reoutfit.
