FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

General FAQs

  • I believe personal styling is extremely personal. Clothes have a major impact on your daily life and in order for it to be sustainable, it’s important for me to know your goals. Before we begin any service, please book a free discovery call where we can dive a bit deeper into what some of your main frustrations are and how I can help. Following our discussion we can mutually decide if a Reoutfit aligns with your needs.

I love styling women and giving you confidence back through clothes, but also encourage the sessions to be a collaborative approach. I love working with clients who are open-minded and excited to explore fresh styles, unique brands, and hidden gems. My goal is to strike the perfect balance—pushing style boundaries just enough to inspire, while keeping you comfortably in your element.

  • No. My reasoning is simple: I don't believe in restricting your choices based on your skin tone or certain colors. Your preferences should be the main focus. If you love a color, wear it. If you don't, then don't.

As an ex-merchandiser, my 15 years of retail experience as taught me that colors available in stores at any given time never include everyone’s color palates. They are driven by trend. Therefore you may be waiting seasons or years to get that exact swatch match. It's more crucial to find garments with the appropriate fit, fabrics, and cuts that align with your lifestyle and personality than to be concerned with a limited spectrum of colors. If color analysis is something you're specifically seeking, I recommend seeking out a more traditional image consultant who offers that service.

  • For a Full Reoutfit, a budget of $5,000 SGD or more allows for the most flexibility and the best results. However, I've successfully created wardrobes with much smaller budgets too. I have seen every size of wardrobe imaginable, so people’s budgets aren’t necessarily an indicator of number of pieces or lifestyle: some clients are very minimal in what they own, others are maximalist, some are very happy to wear the same outfits over and over again and we encourage that! I’m flexible to accomodate lifestyle requirements and never push overconsumption.

The key is that we're on the same page about building a functional, wearable wardrobe rather than always chasing new or cheaper options.

Quality pieces generally range from $200 to $800 each in the contemporary market, while luxury items typically start around $800 and up. For clients who lean toward luxury pieces or fine jewelry, a higher budget may be necessary to achieve the desired look. I carefully curate a blend of contemporary, luxury, and budget-friendly pieces tailored to each client’s budget, with a focus on delivering the most elevated options for your investment.

My approach prioritizes purchasing items that are high-quality and versatile, rather than focusing on quantity. This shift encourages moving away from “how many pieces” to a more curated, thoughtful approach rooted in quality and price-per-wear value. When you invest in better-quality clothes, they become pieces you’ll want to reach for time and again.

If your primary focus is to procure a “as many outfits as possible” approach, leaning toward fast fashion brands like Zara, H&M, Mango, M&S or Sezane, I may not be the best fit. While exceptions can be made for purposeful items that complement your wardrobe or for smaller budgets for the previous brands, I specifically don’t source from brands SHEIN, Temu, Fashion Nova, or ASOS. Additionally, I’m a big believer in preloved pieces at any budget level, even luxury, and I’m happy to incorporate them into our work together if you’re open to adding this sustainable option to your wardrobe.

We have experience accommodating budgets ranging from a total spend of $2K-$80K+ SGD, and everything in-between.

It is extremely important that potential clients share a budget or range so that I can take to you to the right types of stores and source the right type of items based on your needs and ensure your overall wardrobe is cohesive. We will not begin any shopping service (in-person or online) until a budget range is given, to ensure our team’s time is being used appropriately.

Please do not feel embarrassed or guilty about spending on yourself, and rest assured this information will only be used for our working purposes and never shared publicly.

  • YES! If you really dislike shopping or are short on time, The Premier Full Reoutfit package was created just for you! Read here for more details.

    For Full Reoutfit clients:

    • I encourage you to come shopping with me in person, even if you prefer to purchase everything online later. I promise to make it as painless as possible. It is important from a sustainability standpoint to try certain cuts and styles out on your body.

    • If you struggle to shop online please let me know, we can help guide you through sizing and returns. We suggest a lot of online retailers with very easy returns process and highly recommend being open-minded to online as it can provide much more variety in the contemporary-luxury price points and sizes.

  • The Reoutfitter Ptd Ltd accepts all credit cards, PayPal or PayNow for service invoices.

Full Reoutfit clients are responsible for purchasing clothing either in-store or online. For online orders, please use the provided link in your Remix. All purchases, whether online or in-store, are the client’s responsibility, and returns must adhere to the vendor’s policies. The Reoutfitter Pte Ltd cannot be held accountable for missed return windows or any associated return fees.

Premier Reoutfit clients will be provided with a credit card authorization form, enabling The Reoutfitter to make purchases on their behalf. While we will assist with returns to meet required deadlines, clients are responsible for any associated return fees. This minimal try-on fee is designed to ensure optimal results with convenience and ease.

  • I firmly believe tailoring and alterations are key to changing your relationship with clothes and fit. Not any one garment is made to fit everyone perfectly! Therefore we ask our clients to build in a budget for alterations. Clients are responsible for covering tailoring fees, which range from $10 to $150 SGD per garment, depending on the scope of work. These fees are to be paid directly to the tailor, with all responsibilities and agreements remaining between the client and the tailor.

  • Every client is unique, with different needs based on their lifestyle, shopping habits, and sustainability goals. Our "item suggestions" are intentionally capped for each package to encourage thoughtful, sustainable purchases that truly enhance your wardrobe. Each lookbook blends your existing pieces with carefully selected new styles, emphasizing versatility by showing how to wear the same item in multiple ways.

Our item suggestions often include multiple variations of the same idea to provide you with a range of options to choose from. The number of suggestions included in each package reflects what we recommend, not the exact number of pieces to purchase. For example, the Full Reoutfit package includes a certain number of item suggestions to help round out your wardrobe. However, this doesn't mean purchasing all of the recommended items or that we revise until all items are bought. Each client’s final purchases will vary based on their individual needs, budget, and preferences. If you’re looking to buy a specific number of new pieces or have a set amount of new outfits, we might not recommend a Reoutfit, as we prioritize a more mindful and sustainable approach to shopping.

If your goal is to build a curated wardrobe you'll love and reach for time and time again that will incorporate what you own, we might be a perfect fit. However, if you're seeking the maximum number of looks without focusing on long-term wearability, my approach may not align with what you’re looking for. I’d love to help if my style philosophy resonates with you!

Scheduling FAQs

  • Dates may fill up weeks or even months in advance, so I recommend booking early and securing your Reoutfit with a 50% deposit. Once a deposit is received, you’ll also be added to a waitlist in case of any cancellations.

Appointments for sessions are available on weekdays, with options for sessions from morning blocks (9am-1pm or 10am-2pm) or afternoons (12pm-4pm or 1pm-5pm) with a lunch break included if needed.

  • Closet Audits usually last 4 hours. Additional hours are available if needed, with a premium charge for larger wardrobes.

Full Reoutfits (In-Person) are broken into two main touchpoints of an average 3-5 hours each but include several hours of time you get to sit back and relax while we do the hard work for you! Virtual Reoutfits mean you will spend less time “in-person” with us while we work longer behind the scenes with an extended item selection.

We do not charge an hourly rate for all of our “in the background” work, Whatsapps, communication or follow ups, that is all included in your service package! We prefer to make sure you feel you are getting the best possible service without any add on fees. Any timing is customizable, depending on your wardrobe size and preferences, so just let us know what works best for you.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.

Rescheduling/Postponement: We understand life happens and can accommodate up to 3 rescheduling of sessions in the occurrence of life or work events. Any meetings rescheduled after 3 times will be subject to a $300 fee. Any change in service fees from an extended postponement period may be subject to apply.

Premier Reoutfit fitting dates that need to be rescheduled may result in all orders being returned to make return windows and forfeiting a fitting: please ensure you notify me as soon as possible for any changes and communicate your availability with us especially during the “ordering” period.

Cancellations: Client must immediately notify Stylist if Client wishes to cancel Stylist’s Services, via email only to sera@thereoutfitter.com. Deposits are non-refundable.

  • Due to high demand, we are currently unable to maintain waitlists. Clients who have secured their booking with a 50% deposit may have the opportunity to move their dates sooner if other clients' schedules shift, though this is not guaranteed. We encourage you to reach out as early as possible to ensure the best availability.

In general, we prioritize a thoughtful and intentional shopping experience, sourcing you clothes to last for years, so our process may not be the ideal fit for those seeking quick, last-minute solutions.
